Client #9, Troopergate, steamroller, and to top it all off Governor Paterson! what most people don't know is that Spitzer has been ethically challenged for quite sometime.
During his campaigns for AG in 1994 (LOST) and 1998 he told New Yorkers that he personally paid for his campaigns. but in an interview with the NYTimes in late 1998 he admitted that he didn't pay for his campaigns like he said and that his wealthy real estate developer dad financed the campaigns.
His defense " I would say that what I did absolutely complies with the law, and that is the critical issue here" ...." I wanted to spare my family more unwanted publicity" -this coming from a guy who frequented $2000 hookers
then he lied about paying his father back! he finally paid the loan off in 2005 in time to run for governor! read this Editorial from 2008 titled " Spitzer's latest lies are just par for a very long course"
