The investigation of State Senator Pedro Espada is beginning to flush out the western NY rats. Steve Pigeon, counsel to Pedro Espada has just hired high profile Manhattan lawyer Robert Movillo – who defended such clients as Martha Stewart and AIG CEO Hank Greenberg.
Pigeon’s name has surfaced over the past few days in a investigation by the U. S. attorney’s office in Manhattan into payments between a Town of Niagara company, GDP Consulting, run by a long time political associate of Pigeon, Gary Parenti and a Bronx firm, A-1 Multi Service, run by Pedro G. Espada, the son of the majority leader.
It’s also being reported that the U. S. attorney’s office for the Southern District is probing possible tax fraud and money-laundering matters involving A-1 Multi Service and its connections with GDP Consulting. I wonder if some of the laundering was done to make campaign contributions???
State campaign finance records indicate A-1 gave $1,000 last year to the campaign of State Sen. George D. Maziarz R-Newfane, who is also a close Pigeon associate.
Don’t forget maziarz played a huge role in the state senate coup that elevated Pedro Espada to Majority leader.
GDP Consulting is located in the very same building as Parenti Accounting Group, which is owned and operated by Gary Parenti’s father. I wonder is Dad realizes that his family owned business might be in trouble??
In fact, Gary Parenti has used the address of GDP Consulting from which to send political contributions in addition to listing himself in campaign finance reports as late as 2009 as an employee with “daddys” accounting firm.
