Didn’t Evan Hutchinson just call me a coward less than a week ago in the comment section of one of my posts? And then Paul Newell has his press secretary Roy “Boy” Edroso write this:
Nonetheless the release also said that "The Newell for Assembly campaign denies any involvement with Ms. Crothers' mailing whatsoever. It is an independent expenditure paid for by a group with which the Newell campaign has had no contact."
---------------------------------------
Also separately, the Newell campaign informed us that the candidate's position of national health care -- which we had wondered about, given the anti-health-care credentials of the Crothers mailer's sponsor -- is that he "passionately supports universal healthcare with a strong preference for a single payer model."
I like how Roy works Evan’s talking points about health care right in the piece to try and stem criticism. I hope you get an extra big bonus from the campaign for that one. You certainly earned one.
This is the second time the Newell Campaign tried to come out using the Elizabeth Crothers story and denied they were involved using it. MAN UP, Evan and Paul. You want to be a leader, prove it. Accept responsibility for coordinating with an Ultra-Conservative group to get an attack piece out in the 11th hour.
People might actually respect you for it. Evan you define hypocrite.
